Change Begins at the end of your comfort zone.

There are many ways that you can join in our efforts to advocate for the Costume Community:

IDENTIFY PROBLEM PRACTICES IN YOUR AREA

If you know of a theatre in your area that is engaging in problematic labor practices they may qualify for an Official Letter from the CPfWE community. Review our Criteria and Procedures for Letter Writing for more details. Then reach out to us via email or facebook to get the process started.

HELP US REACH OUT

We are actively seeking out lines of communication with those in leadership positions. If you or someone you know is an administrator seeking to adopt wage parity policies LET US KNOW. We would love to work with you!

ADD YOUR VOICE

Our official letters all have multiple authors sourced from the community. Members conduct research, reach out to organizations, author drafts and edit for grammatical content as well as overall tone. We will post calls to action both on our main page and on the official facebook page as the need arises. In the meantime, Feel free to email us with your strengths to be added to our database of potential volunteers.

BE A RESOURCE

You have likely already written correspondence advocating on your own behalf. Help others benefit from your own experiences by adding a template to our Professional Correspondence Archive.
Please remove all identifying information before submitting via email.

Become a guest writer on our BLOG. We’d love to have you! If Q&A is more your style, contact us to inquire about setting up an online AMA event for the community.

Add to our growing list of RESOURCES. We are especially interested in those with graphic design skills to create fact sheets and info-graphics
